Green building
Recommended by leading consultants
No chemicals or ongoing maintenance
Installing HydroFLOW systems earns credits under the Israeli green-building standard (SI 5281), and is listed in the Ministry of Environmental Protection’s Technical Guide as a recommended limescale-treatment solution — no pipe modification or cutting, no ongoing maintenance.
Water in Israel contains high levels of calcium and magnesium. Calcium in the water itself has no harmful effect on people, but the limescale layer that builds up on heating elements and inside pipework causes significant economic and operational damage.
A limescale layer of just 2mm causes an efficiency loss of about 20% in industrial water heaters and cooling towers, according to the Solar Impulse Foundation.
As limescale accumulates, heating systems are forced to consume more energy for the same heat output — a cost passed on to all residents.
HydroFLOW operates through an electrical signal alone — with no moving parts and no dependency on flow. Treatment continues even in standing water and in lines that aren’t in frequent use, with no additional energy consumption.
The energy chapter of the SI 5281 standard is the most heavily weighted — over a third of the score — and also assesses the building’s water-heating means.
A limescale layer in pipework and water heaters doesn’t just harm efficiency — it also creates a physical shelter for biofilm and bacteria such as Legionella, protecting them from standard disinfectants. The problem is especially pronounced in multi-storey residential buildings, with long hot-water lines, some rarely used.
HydroFLOW systems appear in leading professional databases and platforms in the Israeli green-building sector, providing consultants, planners, developers and professionals with information on the technology and its applications in green-building projects.

The HydroFLOW system carries the GreenPro green label, awarded by a body holding Full Member status in the international Global Ecolabelling Network (GEN).
The label is classified as a Type 1 Ecolabel under the international ISO 14024 standard, certifying compliance with strict environmental criteria and recognised international standards.
HydroFLOW products were awarded the Efficient Solution label from the Solar Impulse Foundation — an international initiative founded by explorer and environmental thinker Bertrand Piccard, aimed at promoting solutions that combine environmental efficiency with economic viability.
Solutions awarded the label undergo a professional, independent review process, assessing their contribution to environmental protection alongside their economic feasibility. This recognition joins Hydropath’s other international certifications, and reflects a commitment that has continued since the company’s founding.

Alongside its limescale-treatment solution, HydroFLOW Israel also distributes water leak detection and monitoring systems developed for the local market. Their installation forms part of the Israeli green-building standard (SI 5281), earning additional credits.
Monitors the building’s main pipework and alerts to leaks in real time.
Per-apartment or per-floor leak detection, preventing localised water damage.
Our team will carry out a free project assessment and match the exact system to your building’s needs and SI 5281 credit targets.
