What is it and How does it work?

The difference between Hydroflow and other water treatment systems is the induced signal and its ability to treat water continuously throughout an entire system.
This process treats water by inducing a unique, harmless signal of approximately 150kHz throughout the entire plumbing and piping system made of any type of material.

The pipe, and/or the fluid inside of it, acts as a conduit which allows the signal to propagate.
The signal induction reduces the ability of scale and BIO to accumulate in plumbing systems and gradually removes existing deposits.
This action significantly reduces energy consumption in heating systems, maintenance and wear and tear of water systems.

The induction of the electrical signal is carried out by a special transmitter connected to a ring of items.
Just as an electrical wire carries current from point A to B, the water inside the pipe acts as a conductor and carries the induced electric signal throughout the entire water system.

The sine waves of the induced AC signal cause the positively and negatively charged ions to form crystallization nuclei and eventually stable crystals, which reduce their ability to adhere to the drain and plumbing systems.

Limescale

How does the Hydroflow unit work and reduce limescale buildup in pipes and equipment?

Hydropath technology powers the HydroFLOW water conditioners which are highly efficient, non-intrusive electronic descales that are installed on the cold water line in your home or business.
They treat water by inducing a strong but harmless signal of approximately 150kHz in all plumbing systems made of any type of material, including PEX and PVC.

The electrical signals cause ions to form crystallization nuclei that become stable crystals in solution when changes in temperature or pressure occur.
The suspended crystals will reduce limescale buildup in pipes and heating elements, thereby increasing heat transfer efficiency, lowering maintenance costs, and reducing the need for chemicals.
Standard applications include plumbing systems, water heaters, boilers, cooling towers, heat exchangers, belt filter presses, wells and pumps.
Popular sectors include residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural.

Unlike other products that only treat with water flow or at one point in the system and their effect begins to diminish immediately after the point where it is installed, Hydroflow provides continuous treatment even when the water is stagnant, ensuring a consistent and lasting effect.
Additionally, Hydroflow technology is installed externally to the piping and is non-invasive, which eliminates the risk of affecting flow and capacity.

How does it work?

Without Hydroflow unit

Minerals such as calcium and magnesium (the causes of limescale) are found as dissolved solids in our water in their natural state. When temperature changes or pressure changes occur, minerals settle out of solution and accumulate as hard limescale.

With Hydroflow unit

In the presence of the signal of Hydroflow technology, the minerals adhere to clusters / nuclei of crystallization. When the clusters settle out of the solution, they form suspended crystals that do not accumulate as hard limescale. Without new limescale formation, the water flowing through the plumbing system will slowly begin to dissolve and remove the existing limescale build-up.

Bacteria

The Hydroflow technology has been tested in the world's leading testing institutes for the effect of a unique signal to treat and reduce infections and bacteria in various water systems.
A validation test conducted by SGS Global on the reduction and treatment of bacteria in drinking water and a validation test conducted by ALS Laboratories on the technology's ability to prevent and kill Legionella showed a reduction and treatment of bacteria by 99%.

 

How do we treat bacteria?

A bacterial cell passing through the Hydroflow unit's ferrite ring is electrically charged by the electrical signal. As a result, a layer of pure water forms around the bacterial cell, creating osmotic pressure on the cell. The process of equalizing concentrations causes the cell to swell with water and burst.
Furthermore, the electrical signal creates a disruption in the bacterial cell membrane and causes it to be killed.
The presence of the signal along the piping creates disturbances to the layer of bacteria adjacent to the surface of the inner pipe and gradually causes its release.

Biofouling treatment

Bacteria that adhere to the surface of the pipe form a layer called biofouling (or biofilm). Over time, the electrical signal from the Hydroflow unit causes disturbances and releases the bacteria, which are washed out with the water flow.

HOW HYDROPATH TECHNOLOGY ENHANCES FILTRATION EFFICIENCY

Corrosion protection

As a result of the operation of the HYDROFLOW system, corrosion protection is created in the piping. The next electric current in contact with the pipe creates a disturbance to the electrochemical reaction required for the formation of corrosion. The HYDROFLOW system has the ability to reduce corrosion by up to 65%.

What is the economic result of not treating tartar?

The units are external to the piping, they do not need regular maintenance and replacement of components, long-term activity, no chemical effect on the water and are extremely environmentally friendly.

The unit is suitable for all types of piping up to a diameter of 200 mm as standard and for devices over 200 mm up to 1500 mm by special order.

Although scale is healthy and we need to keep it in our drinking water, it certainly causes problems that cost money and first and foremost is the power consumption.

According to various professional calculations in Israel and around the world, every mm of scale on an electric heating element increases energy consumption as follows:

  • 1 mm scale - 7% overconsumption in energy.
  • 3 mm scale - Overconsumption of 22% in energy.
  • 6 mm scale - Excessive consumption of 38% in energy.
  • 10 mm scale - 48% overconsumption in energy.

Studies show a direct link between scale buildup and corrosion in drinking water and bacterial inventions and therefore treating and preventing scale buildup in water pipes significantly reduces the chance of bacteria and infections.
